Hi, thank you for your interest! UCCL on AWS has been thoroughly tested with pytorch. We are now making sure it also works for AMD GPUs.

@YangZhou1997 thanks for letting me know! Does it mean that there is probably not published pytorch branch that has UCCL as a distributed backend?

UCCL provides drop-in replacement to any NCCL/RCCL application (eg, any PyTorch distribute applications) by the LD_PRELOAD trick. We have an example here: https://github.com/uccl-project/uccl/blob/main/misc/run_ddp.sh. We are also adding more handy example these days!
