How to run NeuroSurf?

Hi,
I am interested in trying out NeuroSurf to visualize some neuron models. But I am not sure how to. I have installed blender2.79 (Ubuntu 16.04) and have cloned NeuroSurf.

Hey,
I really need to write a setup... You need to do is open the User Preferences in Blender, select the "Add-ons" tab, Click on the "Install add-on from file..." and select NeuroSurf/addon/neurosurf_loader.py. In the addon preferences, set the path to the /NeuroSurf/addon/.

It's been a while since I've checked this project (mainly I'm working on a similar project for neuroimaging visualization, mmvt.org), so let me know if I can help with anything. As you can see, the documentation is not the best part of this project ;)

Thanks so much (screencap really helped). I have done what you said above.
But I am a total noob with blender and after spending some time (couple of hours) with the interface and googling I have no idea how to generate the NeurSurf panel (so that I can load .hoc files). Like the one seen here

I'll really need to document this project. You should press on "space", write Neurosruf, and press enter if the option in the following figure appears:

The project is in kinda of an alpha, and not under ongoing development. But I would really happy to see users using it! Thanks for the patient! If it doesn't work, you can send me the hoc file and I'll document how to import it into the tool.
