Could I use this toolbox to get a medial surface instead of skeletion?

I would like to change this code to get "medial surface", but not skeleton. Could you suggest me which part of code should be modified ? Thank you.

According to the paper by Lee, Kashyap and Chu, a medial surface can be obtained by the same algorithm if condition (C4) is replaced by the surface end point condition in Eq(8) and Eq(9) in section 3.1.

I never tried to implement this, but the part of code that need to be modified would be the rechecking conditions in Skeleton3D.m around lines 133-134.

I tried to add the condition of Eq(8) and Eq(9) to the script. But this algorithm tend to produce a skeleton-like volume, not a medial surface-like volume. Thank you for your advice.
