Consolidate English and Spanish Docs Repositories?

@eugenethreat is there a way to consolidate this repo with our other docs repository, or do they need to be kept separate?

I'm not familiar enough with the ReadTheDocs platform to give a definitive answer but it seems like yes. Here's some documentation on the subject - https://docs.readthedocs.com/platform/stable/localization.html

ReadTheDocs does allow you to have "subprojects" to serve multiple projects from the same site but they don't mention anything about translations on here - https://docs.readthedocs.com/platform/latest/subprojects.html

@eugenethreat per your comment on the other issue about linking spanish and english, I think that can be part of this issue, since it relates to whether they're on the same or separate repos.

The navbar functionality works fine, where you go to the home page of each language. There's also a pop up readthedocs that doesn't work right now, and I'm inclined to simply turn it off for the foreseeable future and keep the language switching simple, since it's rarely going to be necessary to go back and forth between specific pages' languages.

Ok I turned these off, it's easy to switch back on if we want it

I took a look into actually doing this with this branch on the main docs: https://github.com/phillycommunitywireless/docs/tree/multilingual

But looking more into it, to do it effectively so it can render different languages well, you need to use plugins like this:

For now we decided to turn off Spanish docs until they're udpated, hopefully by then we have a way to combine the two repos
