#6891 adds detail to this projectless-chat request: use a neutral T3-managed directory, omit project instructions and Git controls, and clearly identify projectless threads. Attaching the chat to a project later is an optional follow-up. Both discussions point to #6529. |

Problem or use case
Currently, we need to make projects before we can chat in chats.
Proposed solution
We should be able to chat without forcing us to chat in a project, like in codex.
Why this matters
That would make it more convenient to use.
Smallest useful scope
Add it in the desktop app first before releasing it to mobile.
