possibility to version the script we run

i'd like to have with mash the same possibilities we have with pkgx to fix the version of the script to run.
Do you think we can gain it?

We could, but it would require a lot of work and thus it is unlikely to happen without good justification. mash was not intended to be that stringent.

until last month i used the pkgx package to store the service installer logic (cf sftpgo.com). but the lifecycles of those scripts are different of the packages themselves. each time i evolve the installer script, it rebuilds the package that do not need to. so i tried to use mash instead for the service installation process. but i need some versioning again. maybe the good path is to have an installer package.

absent versioning in mash you could either have a master script that calls different versions of the logic (taking an optional version), or include the version in the script name (think python3.12).
