Custom race screen is glitched

I ascended, and the custom race page is glitched and none of the buttons work. Even the "create race" button doesn't work. So I have to refresh, and then it takes me back to before I ascended.

I think it has something to do with the fact that I can't continuously power the ascension machine. The button appears and disappears. If I can continuously power it, the problem doesn't occur.

Steps to reproduce:

• Load the save file
• Turn on the ascension machine
• The "ascend" button will rapidly appear and disappear. Wait a few seconds, then spam click where it appears.
• Scroll down, the bugged screen will appear.

I tried to reproduce in both Firefox and Edge, but I didn't experience the issue in the screenshot after 2 attempts per browser.

I did some more testing. It works fine if you click ascend immediately after turning on the ascension machine. The bug happens only if you wait a few seconds as the ascend button appears and disappears, and then spam click where the button appears.
