DOS font not supported on desktop Firefox

In Firefox, the Modern font is used even if DOS is selected as the Text Font option. Changing the font from Modern to DOS slightly increases the line height for some reason, but the characters themselves do not change.

Your instincts are correct -- This is a hack to prevent what's happening in #40. Some monospace fonts are't monospace on some platforms. I had a big struggle to find good ones many years ago, and a few platforms fell between the cracks.

As an aside, I'm sorry for the late/no reply to your reports. I actually care deeply about this stuff but didn't have the bandwidth to handle them at the time and they got lost in the shuffle in the meantime.
