<p>My name is Rebecca Hsu and I am currently in my second year of computer science / science (maths) and have been a member of CSESoc for almost 2 years.
I am so excited to be running for an executive role at CSESoc for 2023! <br />

Likes (bit random, didn't know where to put this): Hiking scenic routes, sci-fi/fantasy novels/movies, indie music, petting my cat Tuna

<p>Being Careers Director was accompanied by more responsibility where I exemplified strong leadership and organisational skills while working closely in a team of 4 directors to lead 12 subcommittee to: </p>
<ul>
<li><h4><span style="background-color: #dce8ff">Successfully sign on the largest number of sponsors to date in CSESoc for 2022, with <b>35 sponsors</b> and <b>72% increase</b> in sponsorship money from 2021!</span></h4></span></li>
<li>Oversee all Careers-related events in CSESoc</li>
<li>Share sponsor jobs and opportunities to members on Facebook, Discord and LinkedIn</li>
<li>Initiate a sponsorship drive with the 2022 Prospectus</li>
<li>Be the main point of contact to all of our sponsors with daily emails, frequent meetings and calls with their representatives</li>

<p>As exec, I would intend to uphold vital existing values and policies while also striving to continuously improve upon certain aspects within CSESoc.</p>

<p>I will continue to ensure that the community within CSESoc remains one that is transparent, honest, collaborative and above all inclusive. This involves:

<li>Maintaining a <span style="background-color: #dce8ff">high level of engagement</span> from students in CSESoc events, initiatives and across different platforms like Discord and Facebook.</li>
<li><span style="background-color: #dce8ff">Stronger and more meaningful connections</span> between students, as well as with CSE staff and industry sponsors.</li>
<li><span style="background-color: #dce8ff">Further interaction and collaboration with students</span> both internally between different portfolios and from different societies and universities.</li>

<p>Any member of this society will continue to be supported in all their social, academic and professional needs. This is achieved by:

<li><span style="background-color: #dce8ff">Inclusion of a dedicated HR/Internal team</span> to ensure the mental health and wellbeing of society members.</li>
<li><span style="background-color: #dce8ff">Provide an avenue for CSE students to voice for events and initiatives</span> they would like CSESoc to run.</li>
