Issues with Business Streaming 2.1

I'm having trouble getting the face tracking module to work with PICO Business Streaming 2.1; it gets stuck on "Waiting for Business Streaming data stream.". If I leave the settings file untouched, it initializes fine, but doesn't actually work in VRChat (face frozen). Whenever I change the faceTrackingTransferProtocol to 2, it does what I mentioned, where it's waiting for data.

Yes, I followed the typical instructions of modifying the .json file (though in the business streaming folder, not pico connect in this case) and the standard process I'd use with the typical pico connect. I also tried it on 2 separate computers. The console just shows it sitting on "Waiting for Business Streaming data stream.", which I don't know if that is the log you are referring to, but if there is a separate log file you want let me know.

Try the following:

1. make sure "auto start" is off, and restart your computer
2. set faceTrackingTransferProtocol to 2
3. launch PICO connect, connect the headset
4. launch vrchat
5. launch vrcft

If the error persist send here the whole json file and what route of your computer you're picking it from

Seems like I am still having issues, I'll attach the output log and the .json settings file, the only thing I removed is the avatar ID from the log.

I would also like to add that I saw someone else on Discord was unable to get face tracking working for Business Streaming 2.1. I have noticed that before I change the faceTrackingTransferProtocol to 2, the module does initialize, but the face tracking doesn't work in VRChat (the comment I made in the original post). The log file I sent is with faceTrackingTransferProtocol set to 2.

BS 2.1 may have new protocol or bug, because they use own OpenXR implementation, not plugin issue

I looked at old issues that were closed, and I thought business streaming 2.0 support was added in version 1.6 of this module.

@greenalden BS2.0 should work, yes. BS2.1 wasn't tested until now.

I see "facetracking" option under the lab setting of Business Streaming 1.2.9, however I did not see that option on v2.1.0
I will try to speak to PICO asking if it's not supported on newer versions.
For now, I'd say stay with 1.2.9 if you can @greenalden

Any update on this? Is there a way to download both the app and apk for BS 2.0?

I found out that Pico Connect 10.4.55, which is the only somewhat modern version of Pico Connect other than Business Streaming 2.1 to support hand tracking on the Pico 4 Enterprise, also has the same issue. I'm starting to think they based Business Streaming 2.1 on that broken version of Pico Connect.
