kmq2 support?

Is it possible to support the KMQuake II protocol as well in this? Is that planned?

Possible? Yes.
Planned? Not right now.

From my perspective there are also be some questions that would need answers to say whether this would make sense.
Primarily - who would use it?
Adding support for a protocol in a vacuum is usually not that practical. (For one, how to test the additions?)

Right now, there's only one user of q2proto (that is, q2repro), it's feature set is essentially "Quake 2 Remastered".
Is "connect to a kmq2 server" something that would realistically work?
Or is there some kmq2 feature/extension that couldn't practically mapped to what q2repro can do? Because such stuff would break the whole thing down.

Now, that doesn't mean it wouldn't make sense for other forks.
Maybe there's some fork of kmq2 wishing to use q2proto, or kmq2 itself, or any other fork with a comparable feature set;
with such a (potential) user it'd would suddenly make much more sense.
