Cant load unpack unsupported manifest version

I extracted and unpacked the folder, but it doesn't work because "
Cannot install extension because it uses an unsupported manifest version.
Could not load manifest."

I think you could try going to chrome://flags/, then typing in Allow legacy extension manifest versions and enabling it. That solved it for me at least
