Receive buffer size

Hi rocketman,
using your software (simple-example) on Linux Ubuntu and Motive 1.72 on a different PC connected on LAN I obtain this error:

WARNING: Could not set receive buffer size. Asked for 1048576B got 0B
[Client] Server Software: Motive
[Client] NatNet Version: 2.7
[Client] ServerVersion: 1.72

Any idea?

No, It's not! :(
The software is hanged and doesn't print anything out.

Hi, did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the same problem using an Optitrack system (NatNet 2.8, server version 1.79)

I also get the warning, but get data just fine. I will say that you should double check all your network configurations. Make sure your IP addresses are correct. Make sure you can ping in both directions.

In Optitrack, open the data streaming tab. (View -> Data Streaming).
Check the box at the top for "Broadcast frame data". Make sure "Stream Markers" and "Stream Rigid Bodies" are checked accordingly.
Don't change the network options. It must be:
Multicast
Command Port: 1510
Data Port: 1511

In Windows, poke holes in your firewall for these ports.

FYI, my systems:
Windows 7 64-bit
Motive: Version 1.6.0 Beta 2 64-bit, Build #18796: June 19, 2014 1:20pm,
NatNet module v. 2.6.0.0.
Linux Mint 17.2 (same as Ubuntu 14.04) 32-bit, kernel 3.16.0-38-generic

Thanks, I put in the same settings and now it works!

When i run the 'simple-example.exe' it asks for the ip address but shows error when I enter the ip address of the server.
Is there a problem with the syntax?
