The hardware is detected but the detecting results are not right (always two persons are moving but actually there is only me).

Besides I also checked the data from two nodes as below.

You can see there are many data from two nodes with different IP addresses.

I did this strictly following your User Guide and I tried about 10 times a week but sadly failed all the time. Greatly appreciate it if you can help check and give me some feedbacks.

By the way, it is a great and very interesting project. I will be trying until it works.

"Always 2 persons" issue

This is a known limitation with the current signal processing. With 1-2 nodes, multipath reflections (WiFi bouncing off walls/furniture) can appear as a second "person" to the clustering algorithm. The CSI data from your two nodes looks healthy — different IPs confirm both are transmitting.

Likely causes

1. Multipath ghosting — single-viewpoint CSI can't distinguish a real person from a strong reflection. This is the most common cause of phantom person detection.
2. No trained pose model loaded — the DensePose visualization requires a trained model on the server side. Without one, the server uses heuristic clustering which is prone to over-counting.
3. TDM configuration — if both nodes transmit simultaneously, their frames can interfere. Check that you provisioned with --tdm-slot 0 --tdm-total 2 for node 0 and --tdm-slot 1 --tdm-total 2 for node 1.

Steps to improve

1. Update to latest firmware — v0.5.0-esp32 has improved CSI processing

2. Add --filter-mac when provisioning to isolate your router's CSI frames from neighboring APs:

   python provision.py --port COMX --ssid "SSID" --password "pass" \
     --target-ip YOUR_PC_IP --node-id 0 --tdm-slot 0 --tdm-total 2 \
     --filter-mac YOUR_ROUTER_MAC

3. Check serial output to verify on-device presence detection is correct:

   python -m serial.tools.miniterm COMX 115200

   You should see sensing_state: PRESENT_MOVING or PRESENT_STILL — the on-device detection (tier 2) is more reliable than the server-side person counting.

4. For accurate person counting, 3+ nodes in a triangular arrangement gives the best results. With 2 nodes, presence/motion is reliable but counting accuracy is limited.

The hardware detection and data transmission look correct in your screenshots. The issue is on the interpretation side, not the data collection side. Keep at it — your setup is close.

Thanks for your feedback. I will check it following your advice. I have 6 esp32 devices and by using all of them, I believe it can get more accurate results.
