Issue where the search function will sometimes duplicate results

There currently exists a bug when searching for users where typing too fast will 'break' the system and elements will duplicate, or it will display the error text as well as regular results. This is likely occurring because the script isn't removing elements fast enough when the user types extremely fast, causing duplication errors,
