1. Does this approach differ from directly adjusting the brightness or contrast on the image?
2. Have you tried adjusting the weights on other layers of the VAE decoder?
3. I understand that bias can adjust brightness, but why can adjusting the weights affect contrast?

I just wanted to chime in, re-found this project looking for something to modify layers. Lol Anyways, when I tried this, the change was absolutely no different than using say Image Adjustment node in ComfyUI to adjust image in post.
