Serves OpenStreetMap buildings as GeoJSON objects
This server will get the open street data from main osm server and then produce json files for buildings (and stored in local file system for later use).
The server uses Tanuki java wrapper to be deployed as a service if needed https://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com
Work in progress, but enough for a Preview...
!!! Only 64bit architecture supported !!!
The project is a Netbeans project, for manual compiling, use the ant build.xml
cd {cwd}
ant build
To run the application cd in the newly created dist dir
cd dist
bin/osmb.sh console
After the service starts, the json files can be found at http://{HOST}:{PORT}/osmbuildings/${Z}/${X}/${Y}.json The default port is 8088
${Z} is the zoom level (15 should be the best one)
${X} is the horizontal tile number (for the zoom level)
${Y} is the vertical tile number (for the zoom level)
There can be a large amount of data fetching from main osm server, so the server will block your requests if too much traffic is generated, a better idea is to use your own osm server if possible.
