Linux / SteamOS: VR not launch

On Linux game start fine but VR not launch. On Windows 10 I don't have this problem. Can you fix that, please? I love this mod ❤️

I think the problem is the addon wasn't compiled for Linux as it only contains dll files and not .so ones. Presumably you can work it around by forcing the Windows version of the game, which should be done by going to compatibility settings and choosing Proton there.

But yeah, I agree it would be very nice if the addon was compiled for Linux as well.

I just tried it on Arch with a Quest 2, Steam Link, and the SteamVR beta branch and it worked for me relatively painlessly.
The biggest caveat is that none of the menus (possibly including the HUD?) work inside the HMD, so everything must be selected from your monitor. I'm unsure if this is a Linux only problem or not.
Like Hi-Angel said, you have to use the Windows version by forcing compatibility in the game properties. I used the latest Proton-GE but I'm sure anything recent would work. You may also need to disable Steam Theater in the SteamVR settings.
Once you follow the normal install process and launch, you will be met with a black screen and need to use your PC to navigate the menus until you get to gameplay. But once you get in game everything seems to work fine besides the menus.

Enabling proton to force the Windows version made the mod work flawless. I am on CachyOS using a Quest 3s via Steam Link.
