Issue with the client.dll

When I launch the game. normaly. without the files. it launches fine. even with the launch options. But when I put the mod in. It it instantly says a error message with a window title of LEFT4DEAD2VR failed to load module after retrying: client.dll. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. and I have tried verifying the files. all passed. Idk what this issue is abt. I use ALVR with a quest 2 to play not sure if that does anything....... and here is my file structure for the game

Define get rid of workshop mods as i am currently having this same issue every launch was it a specific mod or mods all together?

I had to reverse back to a previous upload to solve the fix from 2023 no client.dll issues.

Sonic3Modder's solution worked for me 😄
I added all of my subscriptions to a collection, the unsubscribed from all, verified game files, launched without mods, then reinstalled the mods from collection.

But do you have to do this every time? because if so its better to just go back to a previous version of the VR mod.

This issue occurs because there is a set limit in the mod that checks when the client.dll is loaded, if u have a lot of mods or a mod that does a lot the client.dll could struggle to load in time...the version I posted on Discord fixes this issue. So mods should load fine with my version.
