Sentrix already has a working Hyperlane bridge to Ethereum (sentrix-labs/sentrix-bridge). Adding LayerZero V2 as a parallel option diversifies the cross-chain surface — users + builders pick the one that fits their threat model.
Why
Bridge monoculture is a known risk. Hyperlane and LayerZero have different security models (validator-based vs ULN/Oracle+Relayer). Offering both lets the chain serve teams already standardised on one or the other.
Scope
- Deploy LayerZero V2
EndpointV2, SendUln302, ReceiveUln302, Treasury, PriceFeed on Sentrix mainnet
- Get a Sentrix EID (Endpoint ID) assigned by LayerZero Labs
- Cross-chain message round-trip Sentrix ↔ Ethereum mainnet
- Reference OApp deployment to show pattern
Open questions
- LayerZero Labs EID assignment lead time (their queue is typically 2-6 weeks)
- DVN onboarding cost
- Operator-run DVN or rely on LayerZero default DVN initially?
Acceptance
- LayerZero V2 contracts deployed + initialised
- Sentrix-side OApp demo
- Documentation matching the Hyperlane bridge docs structure
