Before starting on the code, you need to consider where this sensor will be placed inside the car and how that may affect the design of the software.

Research:

• Spec out a new slide potentiometer
• Analyze signal path from sensor to DAQ (find potential exposures to noise)
• Determine the sampling rate
• Choose a filter to clean raw data if needed
• Document findings

Software:

• Map sensor output to meaningful steering data
• Develop software module for processing data
