Running dokerized Shaarli on MacOS

Hi

Apologies if this is a stupid question but has anyone tried running a dockerized version of Shaarli on MacOS M1?
Can’t seem to find documentation to do so and when I try the basic docker run command, it exits with a exec /bin/s6-svscan: exec format error

For what it’s worth, I ran locally a clean docker build . from source. And the docker image functions correctly. So I’m not sure what happend with the remote image.

Not sure if this is helpful, but I generally find it easier to spin up containers using Apple container runtime rather than Docker. It feels more lightweight, at the cost of some minor differences in the CLI.

brew install container
#=> check the post-install output for instructions on how to start the service

This is what worked for me to start up Shaarli on http://localhost:8080:

container image pull ghcr.io/shaarli/shaarli:release

container run --detach \
  --name shaarli \
  --publish 8080:80 \
  --arch amd64 \
  --volume shaarli-data:/var/www/shaarli/data \
  --volume shaarli-cache:/var/www/shaarli/cache \
  ghcr.io/shaarli/shaarli:release

# fix filesystems under named volume mounts to be owned and writeable by "nginx" rather than "root"
container exec --user root shaarli chown -R nginx:nginx /var/www/shaarli/data /var/www/shaarli/cache

Note the --arch amd64 flag: this is necessary because the official image doesn't seem to provide a variant for arm64 which is what modern macOS machines use natively due to their Apple Silicon chips. To those who are publishing Shaarli, please consider additionally building the arm64 image to help out macOS users. Thanks!
