Research Notes z-fighting

Hi, I made some Research Notes today and found that whatever surface I place them on, the paper merges with: https://i.imgur.com/dIBnixd.png

i swear i've tried to fix this specific issue multiple times...sometimes it appears to be fixed, other times it doesn't.

essentially, because the rect with the paper texture on it is so thin, it has to be a particular height above the surface in order to prevent z-fighting...i keep bumping that height incrementally
