CSR attestation and attestation freshness might take a while to reach completion. We can proceed with a tentative implementation and keep the following things in mind:

• store the logic in a separate directory (e.g., classes, helpers, data structures, ASN1 definitions, etc.); or at least a separate file;
• in a separate branch.

The moment you notice that some of the additions spill over to the other parts of the repository - don't do that yet; let's think first. What we need to avoid is the emergence of an octopus that gets its tentacles everywhere.
