By default, Spotify fetches a copy of the audio once, then serves it from their servers for all plays from the Spotify app. This means no 3p prefix or even your podcast hosting provider will see them. However, they do have a whitelist of supported hosting companies that they allow the app to "passthrough" audio calls directly to the host. In these cases, any prefix and the host can see Spotify downloads in their logs as well, and so they will appear in your OP3 stats. Email me your show feed url and I can take a look |

Does Spotify cache, or remove the op3-prefix? Or does op3 simply not detect plays from Spotify? Both in my own, and on the example-stat there is not a single spotify-play.
