Uniformation GK3 Pro compatibility

Hello,

I bought the GK3 Pro to print models I made on Blender.
Lychee was creating blocks of resin on my supports so I switched to Chitubox.
I have better results with chitubox, but I still have to deal with artefacts generated by the slicer.

Those 3 are supposed to be empty in the center, but Chitubox keeps creating those artefacts.
So I extract my sliced CTB from chitubox and edit it in UV Tools to remove blocks on the inside on all layers by applying a pixel edit

Problem is once it is done I can’t find any export format compatible from UV Tools to GK3 Pro.
I tried GK2 profile but once I inject the file in the printer it says "0,0ml of resin used » and it only prints first layers and it never print the rest of supports and models.
I have seen here https://github.com/sn4k3/UVtools/wiki/Printer-compability-with-per-layer-settings-and-advanced-tools this issue is described perfectly but I can't download the script as it seems expired.

BTW I tried all 5 firmwares in GK2 CTB export from UV tools but none is working and I end up with the same message 0,0ml and the issue described above.
I also tried to rename files in JXS but it doesn’t change anything.
I tried normal CTB files but it isn’t even read by the printer and doesn’t display. as an available file to print.

Is there a solution to solve this compatibility issue ?

You don't need to export the file, you open with uvtools do your edits and in the end save the file normally. Don't convert file as it is not intended.

If I do this, the file doesn't import to the printer and printer displays "Error file" and stops

For an update about the issue :
I tried to export from Uniformation Slicer in .jxs and renamed it .ctb, both files are 35,6Mo and display 137,2ml on printer screen.
I imported .ctb to UV Tools made an edit and saved directly on the imported file, it is now 40,6Mo but displays 0,1ml on printer screen.
I didn't test the exported file still but I will be able to test it later in the end of the day but I don't believe this will succeed.

I used a cube 60x60x60 to make the test.
I made the same process from chitubox and it says 125,56ml without supports (it was supported from unifomration slicer)

Uniformation support explained to me :
"The reason printing fails is because the firmware includes built-in file verification functionality. If you use CTB files sliced by Chitubox or Lychee, the machine will verify the file. If the file has been modified, the machine will fail verification when starting the print and will not begin printing. .jxs Files in this format bypass verification during printing."
So I believe hte issue comes from UV Tools export format.

Just curious... I wonder if the slicer is the root cause. Have you tried using PrusaSlicer (using the SL1 profile) to slice your file and look at the layers to see if they're also corrupted?

I have to this day tried 3 different slicers, files are ok exported from slicers, it is the export from UV Tools who is corrupted.

File is not corrupted, but they are using some kind of checksum. I will check a bit on this but is harder to troubleshoot.

Quick update :
I now use Lychee to support my items, export in STL, import in Slicer, export in .jxs, rename in .ctb, import in UV Tools, make edits and save, then rename in .jxs.
Printer display wrong amount of ml but it prints.

It displays correct amount used for acheiving the print.

it seems compatibility with other software as chitubox or Lychee is causing the trouble, the item I had made support edit in Lychee before importing into Sicer has failed printing with the common fail stopping after bottom layers.
the cube was all edited in slicer and succeeded.
I have started a new print from Slicer and UV TOOLS alone and will let you know.

Thank you for troubleshoting this.
So your workflow is rename to JSX in the end for it allow to print?

Workflow is to use slicer from UniFormation for what I have diagnosed, and rename files for compatibility purposes.
I didn’t try to print .ctb exported from uv tools without renaming in .jxs. I can try that tomorrow and let you know.

you can turn off file verification in the printer settings and just print the UV tools file directly :)
