What happened?

We noticed that since about mid-May for projects we updated the File type fields inserted in this way no longer saved the file uploaded from the frontend: <input type="file" name="altroFile" /> We changed all the manual renderings of the field with <input type="file" name="altroFile[]" > is this correct? Why did they no longer work? Thanks

Your input needs to use the array syntax like:

Internally, Freeform treats file uploads as collections, even when the field is configured to allow only one file.
