The patch doesn't apply anymore and the make command doesn't work either.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention! Indeed, Google doesn't use the make-based build anymore. Instead they now use the soong build system, see here. There is a description available here and the guide has to be reworked.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to work on that currently. If you find out how to make it work, I'd appreciate any information on this!
