Add ninja workshop on sending application metrics

Customer would like a workshop on sending custom metrics. Maybe we can build a short example using this otel example:

NONE: Looking for options, if one exists already then this isn't needed.

@billg-splunk is the sum and count section of the advanced otel what you where looking for
It is showing how to make metrics from logs? or do you want the abiltiy to use ccurl/python java to send a metrics?

It's been over a year so I don't remember this precise ask, but I don't think logs-to-metrics would be an adequate example based on how the request is written. Let's leave this issue so we can eventually bring that in.
