Why we build this

Video models cannot pull this off on their own. Today's model is one network painting a whole clip in a single pass, trained on captions as coarse as "a woman cooking in a kitchen." There is no caption, no B-roll, no beat anywhere in its head, so you cannot give orders to any of them separately. That is set by the generation paradigm, and stacking parameters will not change it: a bigger model paints prettier frames, but the precision still is not there.

So the work has to happen outside the model. You need a system that turns every atomic step of video production into a component, and a language those components are written in, compiled and run by the system, and assembled into the finished film.

DeepSeek's Harness does exactly this for agents: a model on its own gets no work done, so they built tools, sandboxing, scheduling and the run loop itself as swappable plugins. Only then does a model become an agent.

Video is missing exactly that layer.

The team

Average age 20 — the founder drags it up. Peking University and Tsinghua undergrads, ex-Tencent and ex-ByteDance engineers, an ex-Zhipu multimodal researcher, a Cornell-trained designer, an 18-year-old creator with 46K followers and a 4.47M-view video, and a 16-year-old running marketing. Most of them took a large pay cut, or left school, to build this.
