Cortex is an open-source orchestration system built on the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), designed to coordinate multiple AI coding agents within structured software engineering workflows.

It brings together engines such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code, enabling specialized task delegation, intelligent model routing, parallel execution, independent code review, verification, and durable recovery.

The goal is to move beyond isolated AI coding assistants toward reliable, coordinated, and verifiable AI engineering systems.

AI Frontier Index is an independent platform dedicated to making the AI ecosystem more transparent, accessible, and easier to navigate.

It brings together structured information about AI models, developers, providers, releases, capabilities, and pricing — helping developers, researchers, and AI enthusiasts discover technologies, compare options, and understand how the industry is evolving.

The project focuses on:

• Exploring AI models, their capabilities, and technical specifications.
• Tracking new model releases and developments across the industry.
• Comparing AI API providers, pricing, and subscription offerings.
• Organizing fragmented AI information into a structured, searchable resource.
• Making AI research and technology discovery more accessible.
