I’m building the Net Zero ASAP Project, including ClimateSOS, as a not-for-profit, public-interest effort to accelerate global deep decarbonization, fossil phaseout, and human and planetary flourishing.

ClimateSOS is an experimental transition-state modeling and pathway-logic tool. Its goal is to encode the logic of the 2030s Net Zero Playbook into a user-friendly application for evaluating net-zero pathways, infrastructure bottlenecks, fossil retirement, clean finance, workforce deployment, industrial electrification, materials circularity, biosphere restoration, and land-system management.

The project also includes a Foundational Charter of safeguards and guardrails for human rights, scientific integrity, anti-greenwashing, anti-capture, harm prevention, and planetary flourishing. The charter is intended for reuse by aligned AI and decision-support systems while preserving its core intent and scope.

Sponsorship supports independent research, open-source development, documentation, and public-interest climate tools that are not optimized for profit or fossil-delay incentives.

Update, I received an anonymous payment of 2k and have lowered the goal to the remaining for Jan: $750. Stop if $750 is reached. For the month of January, I would like help funding my updates to CDRMEx to allow MAGICC 6.8 via pymagicc to scientifically determine how much carbon we need to remove and how fast we need to stop using fossil fuels to achieve temperatures 0.5-0.01ºC over the mean temp for 1720-1800. A co-authored letter in a high-caliber journal will be published with the results of this work.
