Connector dropping from pc screen.

This is new...... Last night and today I've noticed my springbok connector just closing... Disappearing from the monitor.. Since October I've never had this issue. I have had the pop up "lost host connection" prompt come up and reset the MLM 2pro without issues. I do have a USB extension and adapter placed next to the MLM 2pro. I've never had this problem before. I'm unsure if it's a Windows issue with the connector or not.... I have had a recent (download update and shut down) through Windows a couple days ago. I have deleted and uploaded the most current version of connector about an hour ago and installed new firmware for MLM 2pro. Still closed while I was trying to reset the webcam putting.

Anyone with a clue what this might be or have had this issue?

Have only played one 18 so far since doing this, but it might be worth a shot. I disabled my firewall on my public network. Played for about an hour without issue. Didn't want to not have the firewall on so I looked up what could be done. Came across a video on creating an acception "exclusion" in my firewall. Opened the firewall settings and went to manage settings. Scrolled all the way down until I saw "add exclusion" added my connector folder from the desktop and so far it's been fine, but again..... I've only played a full 18 so it's kind of a small sample size.

Confirmed it is now working! Thanks for the idea! Norton strikes again. Open Norton and click on Settings (bottom left circled). Then click on Smart Firewall and Program Control. Scroll down to MLM2Pro-Connector.exe. On right side click down arrow (right side circled -doesn't show until you hover) and delete rules. If you re-open you will see the basic three it re-adds. This way it creates default rules without restrictions instead of "smart" firewall lol. Then you can close Norton.

Was getting ready to bag this launcher. New update is working like magic with chipping now! Finally the full deal!!!

Good deal. Going to try and jump on later tonight to play 18 . But I really would like to know why I never got a "blocked" message while on Wi-Fi connection compared to hard lined.

I was working on the same issue and believe the culprit was onedrive. It had offloaded all the software to the cloud to operate remotely so there was no communication. F Microsoft.

Locks dramatically decreased but we're still getting a few so Claude had me out .net log files to evaluate and just as suspected last .net update in April changed OneDrive handling.

The OneDrive location is the more likely primary cause because:
Exception code 0xc0000005 access violation is classic OneDrive file locking behavior
The exe is running directly from the OneDrive folder

So I moved from OneDrive to c:// will report back but so far so good.

Full analysis

The Log File Smoking Gun:
The log just stopped cold mid-activity with absolutely no error message. Specifically:
Shots were processing normally
GSPro was receiving data fine
Then DeviceLaunchMonitorBluetoothMLM2PRO Club selected: SW — and then nothing
A network drop leaves a socket error. A Bluetooth disconnect leaves a timeout message. A firmware timeout leaves a connection closed message. A hard application crash leaves complete silence — which is exactly what you had. The log can't write an error if the process is instantly killed by Windows.
The Event Viewer Smoking Gun:
Exception code 0xc0000005 — this is a Windows Access Violation, meaning the application tried to access memory it wasn't permitted to. This is not a network error, not a Bluetooth error, not a firmware error — it's a process level crash
Faulting module KERNELBASE.dll — core Windows memory management
The executable path showing OneDrive in the directory — the application was running from a cloud-synced folder
The .NET Update Smoking Gun:
April 22nd update changed concurrency handling in TypeDescriptor
Concurrency means multiple threads accessing resources simultaneously
OneDrive + an actively running exe = exactly that scenario
Problems started the very next day

Been having the same issue for past several weeks. I have made exceptions to the firewall as others have suggested for the GSPro executables as well as the connector executable. Also made an exception for the entire connector folder in the virus protection that was also suggested by some. Still drops after a few holes at best. Re-downloaded and re-installed the connector as well. MLM2Pro is updated, authenticated, etc. Native Rapsodo connector works without issue, so doesn't appear to be a connection issue.

Is your program executable in a OneDrive folder? If so then move the folder out to c://. OneDrive seems to be causing a lock.

Disabling OneDrive doesn't work. You need to move the folder out from under OnDrive's thumb.

Actually same issue is persisting if not playing but when playing no issues. I also set sleep timer to never and rebooted it so don't know if that fixed it

Just upstairs banging my head against the rafters... Opened everything up hit some range shots. Went downstairs for ten minutes. Came back up and it was closed AGAIN.! NOT SURE WTF ELSE I CAN DO. I'm about ready to ditch this system all together and just be stuck with auto putt.

No, everything is stored locally. The unit is also not going to sleep, it drops with constant play. Although I did set sleep to never because I have seen people report it goes to sleep pretty quickly.

I had to reboot after setting Sleep to Never. I moved to non-OneDrive and then removed Norton from Smart Firewall. After play with no drops and leaving on, I just went in garage after 30 min of not touching and still green! Victory at last!!!
