As we're iterating on a draft of this paper, and we want to link to this software package in the paper, it's time to start thinking about having proper documentation for future users. We don't need the full abundance and transcript abundance dataset -- just something we can share to demonstrate the fundamentals.
@zbartolek Would you please be able to send (either dropping it here or by email) a txt / csv with... at least the following columns
- responder species abundances
- companion species abundances
- the KOFam coverages, ideally two different coverages
- ideally one that was significant, and one that was not significant (so we can show people how to interpret both)
- one abiotic variable (eg temp) that varies a bit across the samples
One cruise is fine. It would be great if you could choose some interesting responder/companion/functions, and tell us briefly a bit about them.
From there, I can draft something, and ask @zbartolek to make sure a non-statistician can understand it, and maybe @svteichman for help with making it beautiful 😊
