Once we've finished the simulation results with current IO format, let's make a software build of that version (eg 0.1.0) and post it. Label it for posterity as "preprint simulation software".
THEN, do the IO that we want, and call it a major update (eg 1.0.0). That'll be the user-facing IO going forward.
