Multiple Accounts Support

Currently we get data from oauth tokens or cookies (or clis). That will not work if we ever wanna support multiple accounts.

Just opening this ticket as a brainstorming session.

I'd like that too but it'd be messy. Login often is gated by anti-bot measures/captchas.
Supporting multiple accounts (one per browser) would work, but seems messy and limiting.

Don't have a good solution for this yet.

LOL i was legitimately making that suggestion and missed the fact that you originally already said one account per browser. well that's all that came to mind so far

multiply accounts can be done via multiply profiles on chrome.
I do have several profiles to switch my 5 team accounts.

Maybe controlled browser can be used to scrape info from multiply accounts. Not sure how we can login via headless browser.

for the first time ever, i bought credits to top up my Codex usage. i don't think this will be sustainable. i'd like to bring another account in the mix hopefully soon!! 😁

Just adding that I would love to have my multiple accounts shown here. Ive got work and personal claude cursor and chatgpt. Would be nice to see the status of all of them at once.

just sharing what i did on my side to handle multiple accounts in a simple way. this isn't "in" codexbar, but codexbar continues to work normally. meaning,

i switch accounts with one line, click codexbar, see usage for the current account live

using the above approach ^, i was able to juggle 2 accounts just fine. i login with 2 different browsers, have a util that switches them, and if i pop open codexbar i'll see the current auth.json's accounts usage.

but i just added a third account, and now codexbar doesn't like it.

edit: must've just been a hickup. hit some retries and now swapping three accounts just fine

Until we figure out a proper multi-account live setup (cookies/captchas/etc. make it messy), what about a lightweight compromise?

Codexbar could track the active account live, and keep a list of previously seen accounts with their last known usage snapshot + reset time for the different limits (5h, weeks...).

When you switch accounts yourself (browser profile / CLI), the next poll sees a different account id and updates that snapshot.

Not perfect, but it’d still be handy for planning (“work resets in 2 days”) even while you’re on another account. Any thoughts?

@aavetis could you share the script to switch accounts with one line? Currently I am only able to do this via Antigravity, which takes a while and login via browser
