Alternatives to this repo as of today?

The repo is great, thanks. Don't understand why claude code mcp mode itself can't either inherit permissions or be launched with certain permissions (either CLI or reading settings.json). I always get blocked no matter what that bash etc. can't run due to permissions, and the mcp server reports that but the main agent calling it (e.g. claude code itself) sometimes gets confused as well as stalls when trying to wait for permissions checks.

Is there some alternative to this repo I'm not aware of?

In theory you can use claude mcp serve? https://docs.claude.com/en/docs/claude-code/mcp#use-claude-code-as-an-mcp-server.

It appears to be working for me today in Windsurf with though my experience has been a bit unpredictable.
