So somehow the build missing that file. You should check the sampledata\textures folder, looking for the mentioned file, if it's there, maybe a Rebuild project would help. Or the easy way: checkout again. I tested the checkout, sync, build process with my collegue sitting next to me and it is working as intended.

I tried both approaches. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

I am testing in a Pixel 2, which is a device able to run AR.

Ahh I see what's the issue here, you are on a *nix based operation system and I made the sample project on Windows. You should modify the relative path in the scene.sfa file, you will find it at the bottom:

I tried this on my Manjaro installation and build fine. Maybe you will need a Rebuild after changing this.
