Add OCR layer to image

Many thanks for your great work on this tool !

I was wondering whether it would be possible to use the OCR detection to add it as an OCR layer to the image ? I know it's possible to do that with pdf but I don't know about images. It would be a great way to search through pictures of notes for instance.

Just a thought (a few months later), but you could easily add text to the exif data of an image and then search on that. There are limits, of course, but fairly big. For example, jpegs can hold 64k of comments in a single tag.
