We should create a generative AI code contribution policy #5
Description
As generative AI code assistants seem to be here to stay, we should clarity our policy on code contributions to StreamsHub projects where generative AI has been used. Several other opens source foundations and projects have such policies, for example:
- Apache Foundation Guidance
- The Linux Foundation
- Apache Iceberg
- Kroxylicious are having a similar coversation at the moment
I think that we could create a high-level policy in a CONTRIBUTING.md in the governance repository, then sub-projects could reference that in their own CONTRIBUTING.md file with would contain project specific contributing guides and policies.
