Feedback on fi/graph-nodes-causelets-levels branch #2

Description

@ianderrington

Hi @Awesome-as-always,

Thanks for your work on the fi/graph-nodes-causelets-levels branch! Here's feedback for when you create a PR:

What's valuable

The logical gates intuition for Computation is a nice concrete anchor — neurons as AND-like gates, gene repression as NOT-like gates. This could be a good addition.

What should be revised before merging

1. Content already exists elsewhere

Your Addition Already Covered In
"Representations have levels" section causeplex_spacetime.md (coarse-graining ladder), 01_5_causors.md (Layer 0/A/B/C)
"Graph Picture: Nodes, Edges" section causeplex_spacetime.md, causeplex_quantum.md, 01b_uncertainty_coordinates_relativity.md
"Observer-relative representations" Part 1b is entirely about this
"Causelets" term We already have "bond", "loop", "cause-plex subgraph"

2. Keep the prelude simple

  • No formulas in the intro — the formal I(X) = H(future) - H(future|X) is better placed in Part 1 or the glossary
  • Keep the simplified structure — co-definitions first, then commitments (the recent cleanup removed verbosity intentionally)
  • Avoid verbose sidenotes — PBR theorem, second quantization analogies are better for full papers

Recommendation

Please revise to:

  1. Add only the logical gates intuition to the Computation definition (one sentence)
  2. Remove sections duplicating existing content
  3. Keep the current simplified prelude structure

When ready, please open a PR from your branch. Looking forward to it!
