Issue body actions
- Videos can now be rendered using H.265/HEVC codec
- Auto-save and quit.blend files are now always saved with compression
- HIP RT is no longer experimental, and will be enabled by default in the next release
- The minimum required ROCm version on Linux has increased to 6.0. The minimum required Windows GPU driver has increased to Adrenalin version 24.6.1 or Radeon Pro driver 24.Q2
- The minimum driver version required on Intel GPUs has increased to 101.6557 on Windows and 31740.8 on Linux
- The Vulkan experimental backend received a big update in performance, stability and compatibility. The backend is still considered experimental due to missing features like OpenXR, OpenSubdiv, Hydra viewport and animation performance.
- Python-defined classes based on Blender types (like Operator, PropertyGroup, etc.) that define their own new/init constructors must now call the parent's matching function, and pass on generic positional and keyword arguments
- The bpy package on PyPI now provides access to VFX libraries used by Blender
- Improved status bar notifications
- Sequencer Text strips can be now edited directly in preview area (enter edit mode with Tab key)
