Setup instructions ?

Do you have any setup instructions, for this ?
I couldn't get go run to work, but i'm not familiar with running Go like that.

You don't use go run. You build the code with go build. This is the go equivalent of compiling a program eg with gcc for C programs.

This will result in the huebridge-shell program being created. This is the program you run, and pass it the name of the script you want it to talk to (eg ./huebridge-shell ./test-media). ; that needs to handle the input and output as documented in the readme. There's an example script "test-media" and a more complete example in "MySetup" which shows how this can be done in bash.

Note, though, that I'm not sure this code works properly, any more. Amazon have made things stricter and stricter so that it eventually required listening on port 80 and even then didn't always like my returned XML.

So a few years ago I stopped using this and migrated to HomeAssistant's emulated_hue and then wrote https://github.com/sweharris/mqttlight_bridge which does a similar thing to this code but publishes to an MQTT server, which HomeAssistant can pick up on and publish as a Hue light to Alexa. Even the HomeAssistant team have had trouble with Alexa and emulated_hue!
