I have an informed intuition you're probably wrongly inverted and could optimize further. Dark interface by default is converging for a reason. The bright and blinding norm is a vestige of pulp print media. Like humans, screaming the pixel as baseline-silence is probably uncomfortable and less distinguishable of contrast outline. You're also missing out on all the pre-encoded meaning that both syntax highlighting and other typographical formatting does for us humans; giving the model as opportunity to slip up doing that themselves.
This is a fascinating idea, and I think it would be well incorporated into the minimal pi harness.
