Interests in supporting Fava?

Know that Python isn't within scope, but a graphical representation has been core to the Beancount tooling, even as a static HTML page. Is there any vision for something similar within Lima?

Hi there, you found me! I think I'm a couple of weeks away from announcing this to the community.

I currently have no plans to replicate the graphical functionality in Fava. But if this takes off and becomes anything at all, I would be open to somehow making it useful for such third party systems. That would be cool.

So, I would be happy to collaborate, but I think it may be a bit too early for that just now.

Why did you choose Clojure over all of the Lisps? I think of Scheme first due to Treesitter and Steel for querying, but clojure is a very very nice language..

I did initially explore using Steel Scheme, especially because of the Rust interop. That's a very cool project! But I really wanted to grow my experience in Clojure, which is obviously very much more established and comes with a much richer developer experience. And once I realised how easy it is to write EDN from Rust and work with it entirely in Clojure, choosing Clojure was a no-brainer for me. (FFI is always a bit painful.)

(I had previously built the Lima Beancount parser in Rust as a vehicle for developing my Rust experience, and wanted to use that in whatever came next.)

Thanks for your interest and your kind remarks! I'm working hard on usability before announcing this. 😅
