Having full example blog header

I'm not sure what all the vars we have in our blog headers. I recall there being some sort of menu/wysiwyg sort of framework shown to me a few months back. Could we have a running example that's up to date in the blog and author dirs? One that we can clone to start. (We might later make it a template with some decision points/notes as values in the file.)
