Terrible performance in latest version of MT exes

In the 2026.5.24 version of the MT exes im getting terrible performance compared to the 2026.5.15 version. On the older version i had no stuttering issues nor did i have constant hangups because of the game calling fallbacks to default bump maps. Im also having terrible fps anytime i get into a firefight and have stutters anytime something spawns. Whatever changed between the 2026.5.15 version and the latest MT version, it has messed performance up terribly for me.

Tried the new exe, no better performance noticed. I usually play on the avx version of dx11 so i dont know if that makes a difference or not. But im still getting long engine hangs on fallback to default bumpmaps and still getting noticable stutters when items are spawning.

You need to reinstall exes from scratch, i see script errors from stale scripts. Do it and post the log again

Nope the new one didnt make a difference. Here i made a little log with the 2026.5.15 version of the MT exes. I still got minor stutter on stuff spawning and very minor on fallback to bump map but the biggest thing i see with the newest exes is the engine is literally hanging on the fallbacks. Im getting 1-2 sometimes even 3 second hangs where the games unresponsive till the fallbacks can register

Alright here are the last one to test. First try the first archive, then the second one

Alright so whatever was changed in the second archive helped tremendously. I now only get minor stutters on the fallback to bumpmap compared to the first archive it was still hanging for a few seconds. So whatever was changed in the Second one seemed to help with whatever was causing the issue

The second archive was just a recompiled 2026.05.15 version, i need to do that to test if its really an exe issue and not a fluke of your pc.

I don't know what's causing it but its not the MT specific changes introduced in that version. Can you also try non-MT 05.24 version from the release page if it also has this issue?

So the non MT version of the 05.24 run about the same as the 2026.05.15 MT exes. I still get really bad fps dips when a firefight kicks off across the map but i dont know if thats related to the exes or not

Can you try these two as wel please? The first one is after the merge of recent PRs, and the other is before that

the first one performs better than the second but from what i can tell with just playing the first one still isnt as good as the 05.15.2026 version. I dont know why or what it does any different that makes it not hang on fallbacks but it only stutters for a brief moment compared to the newer versions where i get hangs and then those hangs sometimes end up freezing the game for like 15 seconds until it continues. Im sorry i dont feel like im much help with this since im not very knowledgeable on the technical side of the engine
