Would it be possible to read measurements from device and show them in button

Hi

Would it be possible to develop this plugin so that one could read measurements from device and show them in Streamdeck button? Like temperature or if contact sensor is open/closed.

There is this kind of feature in Home Assistant plug, so it's not impossible to make. But would it be difficult?
