This repository combines several works. Keep these notices when you redistribute.

## fly.ai / FlyBrain

The `flybrain/` package and the original MIT license text in `LICENSE` are from
[fly.ai](https://github.com/alextitonis/fly.ai) (Copyright (c) 2026 alextitonis).

FlyCoder is an independent experiment that *uses* FlyBrain. It does not replace,
retrain, or rewrite MaleCNS connectivity.

## FlyCoder

The `flycoder/` package, dashboard, documentation, and original FlyCoder icon
are additional original work in this repository, released under the same MIT
license as `LICENSE`.

## MaleCNS dataset

MaleCNS v1.0 connectome data is **not** stored in this repository. It remains
under [CC BY 4.0](https://male-cns.janelia.org/download/).

`python -m flybrain download` fetches a prebuilt FlyBrain network (~260 MB)
derived from that dataset into `~/fly-data` (or `$FLY_DATA`). If you use the
connectome data, cite Berg et al. (2026) and follow the MaleCNS attribution
terms.

## Three.js

`flycoder/dashboard/vendor/three.min.js` is [Three.js](https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js)
r160, MIT License, Copyright © 2010-2024 three.js authors.

## FlyCoder icon

The FlyCoder mark (`flycoder/dashboard/flycoder-icon.svg` and raster favicons)
is original geometry created for this project. It is not copied from Google,
Janelia, DeepMind, or other third-party brands.

## Affiliation

FlyCoder is an independent experimental project and is not affiliated with
Google, Google DeepMind, HHMI Janelia, the University of Cambridge, MRC LMB,
or the MaleCNS authors.
