First start of termusic on windows errors with os error 10013

when I install the windows zip version of termusic then click run the termusic.exe it show me this

then crash, I'm so confused right now. Please help me I really want to try this music player!!!

• Is this your first time using termusic?
• You mentioned a "Crash", please provide the crash ouput and logs (potentially also run the exe with RUST_LOG=trace)
• How long did you wait in that state shown in the screenshot?

I would say the following is your error, which should be quite apparent (it should be shown without having to go into the logs):

termusic by default uses IPv6 for the server-tui communication (on systems where unix-sockets are unavailable), but it seems like this is denied by your system. This is a known issue that mostly happens on windows, see #402, though i still dont know why it is happening on windows exactly (maybe some users just disabled ipv6?).

Your fix would be to go into the server.toml config and change property address under section [com] to 127.0.0.1.

For future reference, did you manually disable IPv6 on your system / internet adapter?

I did changed the adress to 127.0.0.1 and the same crash

Then it is very weird, i dont know what else could be causing this. Is this machine managed via some kind of enterprise policies? Or some other hardening things?
In any case, if both ipv4 and ipv6 are turned on AND changing the config to use ipv4 does not fix it, then i dont think i can help further.

Just to make sure, after changing the config to ipv4, could you provide the logs again?

I was able to launch it by change my port to 5000, but can't play anysong? it stuck at 0 but say "running"

was it an audio out problem?

How about this one? This bundles libstdc++6 that i have around.

So... more dependencies. I dont really want to bundle the whole mingw suite though (it does not even seem to contain that library). Best for you to try compiling it yourself.

I rechecked the repo and saw mpv hav full support, how can I change from rust to mpv for windows?

The Github Release binaries for windows dont come with any other backend other than rusty pre-compiled. For any others you will have to manually compile termusic. Also please note that i do not know what dependencies might be necessary for mpv on windows (as it does not seem to be easily available via winget).
